“Why Elevated”

This guide is designed to allow the derailed chain to rise above the front chainring teeth, avoiding the forces of binding during a derailed backpedal and then reseat on the chainring upon forward pedaling.  This takes out the most dangerous effects of a derailed chain in the 1x system and reseats the chain upon pedaling, leaving the rider to simply focus on the ride.
