Privacy Policy

FE Sports New Zealand Ltd

Effective date: 01 Nov 2025

FE Sports NZ Ltd (“FE Sports”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs), and the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

This Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, online store, and related channels.

1.  What we collect:

We collect personal information necessary for our business functions, including:

  • your name, address, phone number, and email
  • payment, billing, and delivery details
  • information relating to your purchases, preferences, and account history
  • device or usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited (via cookies and analytics)

Where relevant, we may also collect credit references or company details for account customers.

2.  How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • purchase or order products
  • create or manage an account
  • contact us by email, phone, or web form
  • browse our website or social media channels

We may also collect limited information from publicly available sources or trusted third-party service providers (for example, payment gateways).

3.  Use of cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and other analytics tools to improve site performance and personalise your experience.

Cookies do not personally identify you.  You may disable them in your browser settings, but some site functions may be affected.

4.  Analytics disclosure

FE Sports uses trusted third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand user behaviour.  These providers may collect anonymised traffic data via cookies or device identifiers.

More information on how Google uses data can be found at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5.  Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • process orders and deliver products
  • manage customer accounts and support requests
  • verify identity and assess credit (if applicable)
  • send important updates, invoices, or service notices
  • send marketing communications (with your consent) about products or promotions

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting us directly.

6.  Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose your information to:

  • trusted service providers who assist us in processing payments, delivering orders, hosting data, or providing IT and marketing services
  • financial institutions and credit-reporting bodies (where relevant)
  • government agencies or regulators as required by law

Some service providers may be located overseas.  Where this occurs, we follow IPP 12 – Cross-border disclosures, ensuring that:

  • the overseas recipient is subject to comparable privacy safeguards; or
  • contractual safeguards and confidentiality requirements are in place; or
  • you have authorised the disclosure as necessary for fulfilling your order or service request.

7. Cross-border disclosure and EU/UK considerations

Because our New Zealand website does not offer customer sign-ups or guest checkout, we collect only the limited personal information you provide at the point of purchase through our payment gateway or fulfilment process (such as your name, delivery address, phone number, and order details). We may share this information with overseas service providers when required to process your purchase, manage payments, or arrange delivery.

If you have questions about how your information is handled, please contact us using the details provided in the “Complaints and contact details” section of this Policy.

8.  Direct marketing and electronic messages

We comply with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

We only send commercial electronic messages where consent has been provided (either expressly or inferred through an existing relationship).

Every marketing message includes our contact details and an unsubscribe option.

9.  Data storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

This includes the use of secure servers, encryption, and restricted staff access.

If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will act in accordance with the notifiable privacy breach requirements under the NZ Privacy Act 2020.  This includes notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC) as soon as practicable.

10.  Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time.  We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 20–30 days.

If we cannot provide access, we will explain why and outline how you can lodge a complaint.
